In Shri Ambra Village, the community depends on farming for their livelihood. However, these hardworking individuals often face challenges in diversifying their income sources. As Transformational Community Development (TCD) workers, we stepped in to introduce an alternative livelihood initiative—candle-making.

Through this training, community members learned the art of crafting candles, a skill that can generate additional income for their families. The sessions were met with excitement, and participants eagerly practiced their new craft. The impact of this TCD activity was clear as the villagers not only embraced the training but also expressed their desire for more opportunities to learn similar income-generating skills.

This initiative is a step toward empowering the community and fostering a shift from traditional livelihoods to entrepreneurial ventures. As TCD workers, we are encouraged to see the participants’ enthusiasm and their willingness to explore new ways of sustaining their families. Together, we are building a future where economic resilience becomes a reality for Shri Ambra.
