In Batemone, the locals are not giving up or succumbing in the face of obvious challenges or disappointment, especially in the area of agriculture. Transformational Community Development (TCD) has not only brought material gains to the community, but there is an obvious mindset change and improved resilience and doggedness, despite not having very bountiful harvests from the recent, jointly cultivated community tomato garden.
