Nothing will prevent these highly motivated community members from finding a way to water their future community garden.
In Kassena Point, Transformational Community Development (TCD) is prompting locals to take control of their own well-being. The Agriculture Committee, with the support of locals, is taking yet another giant stride on the path of development. Having sold the beans harvested from the farm jointly cultivated by the community, the Committee then took the initiative to establish a community garden.
They have secured an abandoned plot of land where the garden will be planted, and the proceeds made from selling the beans will be invested in purchasing seeds for the new garden. They are also brainstorming ideas to deal with the water shortages in the area, which can pose a significant challenge to the proposed garden as it will need irrigation. The locals are unrelenting in finding a way forward, as TCD has unlocked a “can do” mindset, regardless of the challenges they encounter.
Thank you!
