In the newly adopted Transformational Community Development (TCD) village of Sawaya, the community school enjoyed a visit from a partner organization that brought educational materials to the school. Thankfully, TCD has helped the community to be better prepared to utilize such donations for the benefit of the community school, without waste or misappropriation.

Opportunities for women in the community have also taken a turn for the better. The women now meet three times a week to practice their sewing skills on the sewing machine that was made available. This development will enable them to have a regular opportunity to hone their skills in preparation to make tailoring or sewing a source of livelihood. Meeting so often in such a manner as this will also enable more women to spend time on the machine individually, at least once every week, thereby ensuring each person progresses in skill and learning.
