Alcoholic Turns His Life Around
Health lessons convince an alcoholic to stop drinking and have hope for a better life.
Siam*, a 45-year-old resident of Dadpur Village, is an active member of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) committee. He lives with his wife, three children, and elderly mother—a family of six.
Before the TCD program was introduced in Dadpur, Siam struggled with alcohol consumption, drinking almost daily. This habit not only affected his health but also caused unrest within his family. However, after the TCD project began its work in the village, Siam received valuable awareness training, particularly on health and personal well-being.
Through TCD’s guidance, he came to understand the harmful effects of alcohol on the body and how it leads to financial waste and emotional strain. Motivated by this new awareness, Siam made the decision to completely stop drinking.
Today, he remains free from alcohol and is grateful for the positive changes in his life. He sincerely thanks the TCD project and all those involved for their support and efforts in bringing transformation to individuals and families in the community.
*For the purpose of safety and wellbeing, “Siam” is a pseudonym for the individual being helped by this project.
Thank you!
