Model Village Inspires Neighboring Village
Multiplication of transformation occurs when a model village shares their successes with neighboring villages.
Hope can be infectious. Pangli, the head of a village located around two kilometers from the Mawa Transformational Community Development (TCD) village, paid a visit to Meti, a member of the TCD committee in Mawa. Meti told stories to Pangli about the transformation that the people of Mawa have been experiencing in recent years due to the TCD program, specifically in regards to solving their Water problem and working on Income Generation through duck-raising.
Pangli was impressed and returned to his village and told his community about what was happening in Mawa. The community then asked if they could meet with the implementers of the Mawa TCD program to learn about getting TCD training in their village as well. Two Mawa community members and one member of the GHNI training team then visited this neighboring village and began talking about the possibility of the expansion of the TCD program into the surrounding villages. Time will reveal the potential for TCD impact to multiply into many surrounding villages in need of transformation.
Thank you,
