Ratchaboot Village started preparing for the installation of biochar filters to filter the spring water flowing to the village. The community divided tasks into two groups. The first group went to clean and repair the water tank on the mountain. The other group learned to produce biochar charcoal down below. The villagers learned how to pyrolyze (burn) biochar, which is beneficial for agricultural development and critically important for the clean water filtration system.

Ratchaboot Village has an agricultural resource: longan trees. Every year, they prune the longan branches to ensure healthy growth and robust yield. However, the pruned branches were previously simply burned off. Today, they have learned how to produce biochar charcoal. This not only provides charcoal for water filters and household use, but also helps reduce the burning that causes air pollution.

After the development of the village water filtration system, they are now interested in setting up household drinking water filtration systems.
