Mr. Issa, a resident of the Bomborma community, started participating in the Income Generation Committee and engaging in Transformational Community Development (TCD)‘s agricultural initiatives because he had no means of sustaining his family after each farming season. His family’s farming business has now diversified into growing other crops like groundnuts and rice, in addition to his usual cassava crop.

Thanks to TCD, he has been able to expand his production capacity to the extent that he is able to use proceeds from the previous farming season to start construction on a small mud house for his family to live in. His life has drastically transformed since becoming a landowner and no longer having to pay rent. This will undoubtedly have a positive impact on his income and enable him to have even more financial stability in the coming farming season.
