Small Yet Sustainable

Bebe joined a group of determined ladies who work hard to contribute to their families’ income. - Small Yet Sustainable

Bebe’s story is one that has been a source of amazement to many as it shows how the application of simple Transformational Community Development (TCD) principles, when followed with determination, can lead to sustainable Income Generation.

Initially, this young woman was a stay-at-home wife who was completely dependent on others for her sustenance and upkeep. After attending the TCD meetings, where she was exposed to other women who were taking initiative to venture into different avenues in order to contribute tangibly to the well-being of their families and the community as a whole, she decided to take their testimonies and experiences as motivation. The determination and success of the other women spurred her to start a small trading business.

Bebe operates a thriving business by going to the city center, buying reasonable portions of perishables such as tomatoes, peppers, onions, and fish, and then bringing them back to the village to sell to her neighbors. Today, she stands proud of what she has been able to accomplish and credits the TCD meetings as a positive influence in encouraging her to start small and achieve her goals of supporting her family through Income Generation.

Thank you!
