Unstoppable and resilient, the women of Batemone are forging new paths to boost income, uplift their families, and shape a brighter future. Thanks to Transformational Community Development (TCD) initiatives, they’re not only growing financially but also diversifying their skills—a game-changer now that the rainy season has slowed condiment sales. Many women are turning to microfinance, where short-term loans are empowering them to invest in their farms with an eye on higher returns from upcoming harvests. When Sayi met with the women, they shared their optimism, eager to expand their contributions and embrace the promise of what lies ahead.
