A Unified Community Transforms Itself
Ratchaboot Village has once again demonstrated its strength, unity, and love — showing what it truly means to be a community.
This month, the people of Ratchaboot Village have come together once more for a new project aimed at strengthening and improving their community. Their main focus right now is water development. Although the community has seen an increase in household water availability compared to last year, the villagers remain committed to continued progress.
They’ve begun planning to plant more banana trees during the rainy season, as these trees help retain moisture in the soil and support the local ecosystem. They are also preparing to create firebreaks around the plantation areas to protect the trees from potential wildfires.
Another key priority is repairing the water pipes damaged by wildfires last year, along with sections that have deteriorated over time. These pipes are essential, as they transport water from natural sources to the village. Fixing the leaks will restore the water supply system to full efficiency.
All 40 households in the village are applying what they learned from the Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons and are involved in planning, organizing into teams, and assigning responsibilities. They have already set a date for next month to begin the work together. It’s a beautiful and inspiring sight to see the whole community unite with a shared purpose.
Thank you!
