In Shri Ambra Village, many young children—some as young as five—were often seen playing and then eating without cleaning themselves. Their poor hygiene habits, such as not washing hands or bathing regularly, made them vulnerable to infections and diseases. We identified this as a pressing issue affecting their health and daily well-being.

To address this problem, our Transformational Community Development (TCD) committee organized a hygiene training session in the local tutorial center. The training focused on simple but important habits—how to clean your hands, legs, and body properly, especially before meals and after playing. One example of a lesson well learned was from a boy named Samuel. He never used to bathe daily or wash his hands before eating. After the session, he shared that he felt good learning about the importance of cleanliness and has started practicing these habits regularly.

The training had a visible impact on the rest of the community as well. The children not only participated actively but also began applying the learnings in their daily lives. Samuel and his friends now encourage each other to stay clean and maintain hygiene. This small change reflects the impact of TCD activities in the community, as local children take ownership of their well-being and grow in awareness through community-led transformation.
