Emotions can run hot during stressful times of life, and learning to deal well with them is an important stepping stone for life.
The Transformational Community Development (TCD) program is an effective tool for supporting women psychologically and behaviorally. It helps them understand the emotional ups and downs they experience. It also provides them with practical tools to deal with difficult situations in a positive and balanced manner.
Ms. Umm Matthew recounted her struggles with her children, whom she described as arrogant and complaining about everything, constantly arguing and fighting. She felt like they didn’t listen to her. This caused her significant stress and a sense of helplessness raising her children.
Things began to change after participating in a TCD development class, where she learned new concepts about effective communication and how to deal with children in a positive and influential way. She also passed on what she learned to her children, especially regarding the trait of arrogance and its negative impact on relationships and behavior. “I felt like my children didn’t hear me or appreciate me, but after the lesson, I started to calm down and talk to them in a different way. I taught them about pride and its effects, and I began to notice that their behavior gradually changed. They became more humble, and our lives began to change for the better.”
The TCD program contributed to a profound change in Umm Matthew’s parenting style and also had a gradual impact on her children’s behavior. They began to be humble and listen to her, which made their relationship closer and more harmonious.
The TCD program is also an effective tool for supporting children in highly stressful and emotional situations such as exam periods. Maven recounted her personal experience, sharing, “I was going through a time filled with anxiety, fear, and tension, and I felt extremely sad, especially as exams approached. I was terrified and didn’t know how to deal with my feelings.”
This feeling began to change when she attended a children’s class within the TCD program, where she learned how to calm herself and understand her emotions. The class helped her organize her thoughts and prioritize her time, especially regarding her time and study preparation. Maven added, “After the class, I began to calm down. Instead of wasting my time in fear, I organized my time studying, and I began to feel happy instead of nervous. I began to approach my exams with enthusiasm and energy.”
Through the TCD program, Maven was able to transform her state of tension and confusion into one of calm, organization, and self-confidence. This helped her face her academic challenges with a positive spirit.
