Through innovative farming practices, Kallon was able to build a more secure and hopeful future.
Kallon is a local farmer who relies on agriculture as his main source of income. Previously, he farmed on a very small scale, producing barely enough to sustain his family and with little extra to sell at the market. However, through the introduction of innovative agricultural practices by Transformational Community Development (TCD), he has been able to scale up his farming activities. He has diversified beyond the cassava and groundnuts he once cultivated and is now engaged in lowland farming, particularly rice production.
The monthly TCD meetings have provided Kallon with a valuable platform to exchange ideas with fellow farmers, discuss region-specific challenges, and learn which practices yield the best results. With this new source of income, Kallon is optimistic about future harvests and looks forward to continued transformation and development through TCD in the years ahead.
