In the quiet rural village of Didi Hara lived Dalacha, a man with a physical disability who, despite the challenges he faced, was admired for his honesty and kindness. Though life was difficult, Dalacha firmly believed in the strength of sharing and the importance of community.

Through our Transformational Community Development (TCD) goat loan support program, Dalacha was given a female goat as a loan, with the agreement that once it produced offspring, he would pass one of the young goats to another family in need. Dalacha cared for the goat with patience and dedication. In time, it gave birth to two healthy kids. Staying true to his promise, Dalacha immediately gifted one of the young goats to his neighbor, Tume, a widow struggling to raise her children.

For Tume, that goat became a source of hope. She nurtured it carefully, and soon it began producing milk. This improved her child’s daily nutrition and gave her the chance to build a small herd. As her goats multiplied, Tume gradually became more financially independent and able to provide for her family.

Dalacha’s faithful act of generosity went far beyond fulfilling an obligation—it changed his neighbor’s life. His integrity and compassion sparked a ripple of opportunity and hope in the community. People admired him not only for his resilience but also for his selflessness, proving that disability is never a barrier to making a lasting difference.
