The Transformational Community Development (TCD) program is assisting the Nayabasti Villagers to be entrepreneurs. It is encouraging that the women are involved in Income Generation and are trying to become financially sustainable.

Sabina* has stood as an example for the villagers. She was unemployed and had no income source other than what she and her husband had to do as day-laborers to sustain their family. It was very difficult to manage her family’s needs and expenses. She had no idea of what to do for Income Generation. When we started the TCD program in her community, Sabina joined the group and learned about Income Generation by starting poultry farming, goat keeping, micro businesses, and vegetable farming.

She wanted to invest in poultry, but she had no money for this. GHNI helped her with a little seed money, and she started her business. She became successful in poultry farming. This business helped Sabina manage basic needs and meet the expenses for her family. This has not only been an income source but also led her to have a life of hope and sustainability.

Sabina is planning to extend her poultry farming to be an entrepreneur and self-sustainable. She would like to encourage other villagers, and especially the women, to participate in TCD activities and programs.
