The Gadha Korma community has taken a significant step towards economic empowerment with the support of Transformational Community Development (TCD) workers. In response to a request from the local women, TCD workers conducted trainings on Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), aiming to provide the women with more structured and sustainable financial tools.

The women, who were already participating in small savings groups and table banking, were encouraged to transition to the VSLA format. This method offers a more formalized approach to saving and lending, ensuring better management of funds and long-term financial stability. Through the TCD trainings, they learned how to effectively manage their savings, offer loans, and reinvest profits, giving them the knowledge and skills to grow their resources.

The introduction of the VSLA system marks a transformative moment for the women of Gadha Korma. With the continued support of TCD workers, these women are now better equipped to build financial security, strengthening both their families and the wider community. This initiative underscores the power of collaboration and education in creating lasting economic change.
