Villagers Save Money Producing Their Own Products
Learning to grow their own food and soap saves money and produces income as well.
Kamali* was successful in raising a good income this month by doing vegetable farming. She did tomato farming after she learned from Transformational Community Development (TCD). She used to buy tomatoes from the market and now she is selling tomatoes and earning money. She is very happy and now is able to manage the family’s basic needs. She said that she will do more tomato farming in the next season.
Chainpur Village community members are nnow trained to make liquid soap for home use. Eighteen members attended the training where they learned to make liquid soap for their daily use. Making this liquid soap themselves at home helps reduce their families’ expenses and what they spend at the market. TCD lessons taught the villagers to Generate Income and decrease unnecessary expenses.
The TCD team did an environment preservation campaign. We taught the importance of environment preservation and encouraged tree planting. The villagers have been excited to work for the safety of the environment.
*For the purpose of safety and wellbeing, “Kamali” is a pseudonym for the individual being helped by this project.
Thank you!
