Our team visited the Transformational Community Development (TCD) village several times this quarter. The TCD committee is playing a very active role. We have also held meetings to encourage the committees. And we reminded them about the overall development plan, so that the community people continue their efforts with patience.

The preschool in Dadpur is running very well. The attendance of the children is very good. During this past quarter, the TCD Committee supported two needy families by providing pigs through TCD seed money. The beneficiaries, Samir* and Sanjay*, expressed their happiness upon receiving the support. They are committed to utilizing this opportunity effectively and aim to generate income from pig raising.

Also, the community people are very interested in growing vegetables in their backyards to meet their family needs. As the monsoon season is approaching, advice is also given during home visits to plant more fruit trees.

Salma* is a housewife. Her family has five members. She has a husband and three children, two boys and one girl. The children are studying in school. Her husband is the only income earner in their house. Her husband’s income does not meet the basic needs of their family properly, and it is very difficult to meet the expenses of their children’s education. But Salma goes to work wherever she can to increase her family’s income, but the work is not the same throughout the year.

Seeing their situation, the TCD committees bought her two goats with the help of the TCD project. She is very happy to have the goats. Salma believes that she is benefiting because raising goats does not cost much, only if she can take care of them properly so that they multiply.

She thanked the TCD project a lot. Now she is very busy raising goats.
