There was a time when Ronish* used to drink alcohol and beat his wife. There was no peace and happiness in him and the family members. His wife and children always had to hide themselves when he came home drunk. He had no income sources. It was very difficult to provide food for his family. Many times they spent days without food.

Our Transformational Community Development (TCD) team followed up with this family and taught Ronish to stop abusing alcohol. We taught him the TCD lessons on Income Generation. The TCD committee decided to help him with a little seed money. With that seed money, he bought a cow and earned a daily income by selling milk. Then he bought two goats.

Because of TCD lessons and help, this family’s life has changed. They became successful in raising their family income source. Now, Ronish doesn’t drink much alcohol and provides food for his family. He has saved some money by selling milk and has a plan to build a small house for the family. He can also support his children for school. It is good to hear that his life has changed with the help of the TCD program and that this family of four people is being self-sustainable. It was really hard to come up from zero level, but with TCD’s encouragement and support, it became a reality for Ronish to raise his family income and support the family. He wants to encourage other people in the community to do TCD and be transformed.
