The community once showed little interest in tackling poverty, and as a result, progress was slow. Today, things have changed significantly. Through the influence of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program, people are increasingly open to opportunities that can improve their livelihoods and strengthen their economic stability.

This month, Mr. Ouro-Agouda, the village head, demonstrated commendable openness by welcoming the trainers brought by the champion to teach saponification (soapmaking) skills. This training represents an important step toward equipping community members with practical, income-generating knowledge. The next step is for the trainees to begin producing soap and exploring how to organize themselves for regular production.
