Munira* is a housewife living with her family of four members. Her husband works as a truck driver and stays away from home most of the time. He is the only earning member of the family, and managing household expenses with a single income is challenging. Earlier, Munira believed that her responsibility was limited to household chores and taking care of her children. However, her perception changed after she participated in the Transformational Community Development (TCD) education program in her village. Through this program, she gained awareness and confidence, realizing that she can also contribute to her family’s economic wellbeing.

With the support of the TCD project committee, Munira received seed money to purchase two goats. The goats grew well, and she plans to raise them and sell them at a profit. She intends to reinvest the earnings to buy more goats, gradually expanding her livestock and increasing her income through a sustainable cycle. Munira expresses her gratitude to the TCD project for expanding her thinking and empowering her to take initiative. In addition to goat raising, she also works in agricultural fields on other people’s land whenever she gets the opportunity, earning extra income for her family.

Now, Munira actively engages in Income Generating activities and plays an important role in supporting her family financially. Her journey demonstrates the positive impact of the TCD education program in empowering rural women and promoting economic self-reliance.
